Dee Smith

Dee Smith has more than 20 years of experience in community outreach, stakeholder engagement, city services, and policy development in the District of Columbia. As Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of Constituent Services for DC Councilmember Cheh where she focused on improving the quality of life for residents and developing strategic partnerships to generate equitable solutions for residents across the city.

Smith serves as Public Outreach Coordinator on the DC Water Lead Free DC program using her in depth knowledge of local government and experience in community and stakeholder engagement. She has also supported several other DC Water projects as a member of the Community Outreach team including the Northeast Boundary Tunnel Project, the largest component of DC Water’s Clean Rivers Project. Smith holds a BA from Howard University in communication and television production.
